Whip Media Group partners with ZOO to localize TV and movie content for global audiences
Whip Media Group, a market-leading enterprise platform that provides a broad range of integrated services to the world’s largest entertainment organizations to more efficiently manage, distribute and monetize their digital content, today announced a strategic supply chain partnership with ZOO Digital, a leading provider of cloud-based dubbing, subtitling, localization and distribution services to the TV and movie industry.
ZOO Digital localizes TV and movie content in over 80 languages and all distribution formats for clients including major Hollywood studios and OTT streaming services. The company’s worldwide network of over 7,200 native translators uses cloud-based platforms to translate and deliver high-quality subtitles and captions.
To date, ZOO has produced over 360 million subtitle files for the entertainment industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic specifically, ZOO’s dubbing network has been utilized by producers worldwide where it isn’t possible to bring talent into studios.
Cory Sher, VP of Global Sales & Business Development, Whip Media Group said:
“As the amount of streaming content available has grown and spread to more global markets, so has the need for multilingual subtitle and dubbing services to bring TV shows and movies to audiences in more languages faster.
“We’re thrilled to partner with ZOO Digital and provide to our clients the ability to more efficiently localize their new and catalogue content and grow their audiences worldwide.”
ZOO Digital will integrate with the Whip Media Group’s industry-leading Content Value Management (CVM) platform to provide subtitling and dubbing services to clients as they license their content globally. The company’s CVM cloud-based open API-driven architecture enables media companies and MVPD operators to seamlessly and quickly add best-in-class content delivery vendors. This digitally-driven supply chain removes distribution friction and simplifies the process of managing multiple vendors while delivering workflow transparency and monitoring.
Mazin Al-Jumaili, Director of Business Development EMEA, ZOO Digital commented:
“We are very excited to partner with a company so closely aligned with our own digital strategy. We quickly identified a seamless workflow with Whip Media which will provide full transparency on localization order management for their global client portfolio.
“As worldwide OTT platforms build momentum in local content publishing, both companies are perfectly positioned to offer a global supply chain solution.”
Whip Media Group’s Strategic Supply Chain Partnership is built on the premise that both buyers and sellers of content need to effortlessly put their content everywhere it needs to be. With the onset of the streaming wars and the unprecedented pace of content consumption, building a frictionless distribution ecosystem must take priority.
